Saleh Faruque is an advisor on wireless communication for Northern Telecom Wireless Systems, Richardson, Texas, where he lends RF and system engineering support of AMPS, TDMA, GSM, CDMA, and PCS systems. This book is an excellent starting point for the not so well versed in this field. It has a lucid approach with clear diagrams, well referenced throughout the text. It can be used on its own or as supporting material to the William Lee book (Mobile Cellular Comm. Systems).
