A Fun Twist On Superheroes

With sweet chemistry, likable characters, and a new twist on the "superhero" phenomenon, this novella was so much fun that I read it in one sitting.
I loved the idea that the delineation between hero and villain being several shades of gray rather than black and white, and how there's a middle ground between "normal" and "super" as far as abilities go. Burke and Gina were delightful, and Static was an absolute joy.
Recommended for fans of great chemistry, fun capers, and sweet romance.

Cute and funny read

What a fun, easy read How to Date a Henchman was. Mari Fee brought to life a superhero and super-villain that were both egotistical and funny as hell. Yes, the story is mainly about Burke and Gina and their attraction to each other, but, Static and Glimmer just make this book wonderful. They bring the book from a classic boy-meets-girl to a whole different level.
Gina works as the receptionist at EnClo and can't help but wonder what is on B2. Mr. Sparks is coming to check on the progress of his company and she is thrilled - maybe she'll make it to B2 today! What she doesn't count on is Burke - the sexy body-guard with Mr. Sparks - and the attraction between the two of them. Or, the fact that Mr. Sparks is actually Static and Burke is his Henchman. Enter Glimmer and the fun begins. From the fight in the alley-way to burning down the research facility, the banter and snarkiness between Gina, Burke and Static is just so much fun. Gina grows a spine, Static is actually trying to do something good, Glimmer is an ass and Burke just wants to kiss Gina.
I really enjoyed reading How to Date a Henchman. It was light and funny and just so easy to read. The storyline was cute and Ms. Fee's writing was perfect for this kind of story. So, if you looking for something that will lift your spirits and put a smile on your face; if you enjoy a little superhero with a little bit of romance, pick up How to Date a Henchman. You won't be disappointed at all.

How to Date a Henchman is a slice of novella heaven. It proves that short books can have well built plots and fleshed out characters. The book focuses on Gina Hall, a receptionist at EnClo Corp. The few years she has worked there, she still hasn't gotten clearance to see the entire building, much less know what the company actually does. Her life is simple, considering she lives in a world where superheros and evil villains exist. Though they never seem to go to Canada much to her regret.
The book starts out with Gina working and excited to meet Mr. Sparks, the owner of the company. Mr. Sparks arrives with his henchman and Gina can't help but notice how cute he is. They set up dinner plans and the book takes off from there. I don't want to spoil things but I'll just let you know that there is a slightly stupid superhero, a sexy henchman, a rebellious receptionist, and a crazy evil villain. This is a must read!
