Pat Pernicano, PsyD, is director of clinical services at Providence Self Sufficiency Ministries, where she provides programmatic direction and clinical supervision for the Family Preservation Program and Providence House for Children Group Homes. Dr. Pernicano is also a clinical faculty member at Spalding University and teaches part time in the PsyD program.

Great book!

I work with elementary-aged students and use a lot of puppets as I read stories. This book is full of short stories that help a child understand the issue confronting the character in each of the stories while keeping a safe distance from their own issue/concern. Leaves lots of room for discussion and creativity to address children's issues.
