Budgie Smugglers...yep my new favourite thing....

M/M erotica is a favourite genre of mine and i was super stoked to see the early release of the 2nd volume of the London Dates book.
In order to gain full appreciation of the continued journey of Castor you will need to read First Wound to begin.
This volume really cranks up the heat and is certainly laden with erotic moments but they are written in such a way and with such detail that they are arguably some of the sexiest scenes i have read...and i have read very many!
This episode which could also be known as AM (after Mike) sees Castor chase away some of his shyness and this is where we begin to see the real Castor, and as a reader you become very invested in his development and search to find his real self.
Mr Tanner has such a way with words and detail that i could imagine myself with these people and in these places...you can imagine the sights and smells of the places he has described and feel a very real connection with the characters....we all need a friend like Violet!
The writing was flawless and has continued in his individual style and humour scatters the pages with his classically witty one liners.....

'My wood is no vintage but it is just as hard'

So in summary...yeah...you have got to read this series...a piece of M/M erotica heaven...for sure!
Well played Mr Tanner.....you have certainly got me wondering what next after that ending and I simply cannot wait.....

Temperature's Rising in Book 2 of ‘London Dates’ Series

This is the second in the 'London Dates' series and let me tell you that the temperature in hotness has ramped up by 100%!!
We see Castor getting on with his life, after his disastrous start in London with Mike in the first book, by meeting Richie. This is where we get to see a whole other side to Castor.
I laughed at his visions of Kleptomania (so wanted to grab one of those vintage beer mats for myself ;-)) and chuckled at his meetings with Violet (yes we all need a mad friend like her lol).
You want passion, sexiness and emotion? Well you have it in spades in this story!
I was rooting for Castor to find the one he is looking for....does he find it? Well this is worth buying to find out!
I must applaud Brad Tanner for his wicked sense of humour, for being able to quickly pull the reader into a short story and grab their attention from the get go and for introducing such a cute and HOT character!
Now Mr Tanner, I won’t beg and plead (I surely would! Lol) but can you pretty please hurry along now and get the next one written?
How you expect us readers to wait after,...........well YOU know what, I don’t know!

…and it’s not only because his writing NEVER fails to excite and arouse. It’s also because his stories, despite being so thrilling, are movingly realistic and easy to relate to.

This episode is arguably the hottest of all Tanner’s pieces. His sex scenes are galvanising and suspenseful. At the same time the level of detail they achieve make them believable to the point of being touching, but never sentimental. Tanner has a great ability to create the sense of place and the illusion of presence. His descriptions and dialogues are vivid, humorous and memorable. His protagonist has a quirky inner world, where lust goes hand in hand with existential musings.

Combine all these ingredients and what you get is a piece of art and a unique voice in the world of M/M erotica.

Surprisingly, beautifully moving....

True confession: Throughout my life I've read prose, not poetry. But these free-verse tales, these moments taken from the life of two brothers, have moved me and touched my heart beyond what I could have imagined. My personal favorites? "Blood Brothers," "Bulldozers," "Fulfilled," "Bottle It Up," and "End to End." I recommend this book to anyone who has ever lived (how's that for a demographic group?), for the Czuchry brothers know how to put into words what you've been through, in a way that will make you treasure your life even more.

For anyone with a brother, sister, best friend, and a childhood. This is a collection of amazing, heartfelt stories of imagination and wonderment. Letting you into a world of dreams and aspirations. Discovering new hopes and paying homage to the past from the eyes of an adult with the heart of a younger brother. Referencing music to a time of innocence and influence. His uplifting words are poignant and eloquent. There is such an honesty about these stories that you can't help but be inspired in some way. I read it 3 times in a row, cover to cover. There is something for everyone and although all of these there is so much more than just Matt the actor, than Matt the Poet, than Matt the Friend. Do yourself a favor and check "BROTHERS ON LIFE" out. Read it on a day you are feeling down or need a lift. I promise it will make your day better. Best $9.99 Ive ever spent.

If you love literature "Brothers on Life" is for you

I must admit that poetry is generally not my flavor when sitting down for a read. However, a friend recommended that I give this a look and so I did. To say that I was presently surprised would be a tremedous understatement. What I found was a very special perspective on life, love, family, youth and the power of a truely connected sibling relationship. Many times I found myself lost in the words of the authors' so deeply. The imagery had such power in certain instances that I had to stop reading for a moment because the memories of my own life kept seeping in so vividly. If you're looking for something unique and a book that will make you remember such poignant moments from your childhood and your current experiences, "Brothers on Life" will quench your thirst. Just beautiful.

A truly informational look at Modern Colloidal production

An informational and easy to read guide on basic through advanced colloidal production for the home or commercial lab user. Peterson's book covers all the known Ionic, low-voltage electrolysis methods. It also has entire chapters giving the student accurate information about the production of the elusive (and often secret) Nano particulate silver, copper, zinc and gold using advanced high voltage techniques Peterson has discovered and licensed to Pride Scientific Labs.

The book shows the beginning and the advanced colloidal producer how to effectively recreate all industry standard colloidal minerals used as nutritional health supplements. The book has a full safety section and primes any lab tech with the knowledge to effectively re-produce much better colloidal solutions for home use or even the medical field.
The book instructs the student on proper commercialization and informs the reader about current FDA, DSHEA and EPA regulations regarding the production, use and sale of said colloidal solutions.

The book includes full illustrations, charts, graphs and pictures of actual colloidal liquid production methods. Peterson's company; Pride Scientific Labs provided me with all my materials to begin my own advanced colloidal production method here in my small lab. The book is published by Amazon Publishing and from what I have been told by the author, they have the ability to add pages, change and alter outdated experiments every quarter if they need to. This makes the latest version of this book, the freshest information available to the colloidal producers all around the world.

The content deserves 4 stars.
Unfortunately a lot of sentences are incomplete, looks like a formatting error of some sort. Missing words, missing sentences.
For that reason I'm going to see if I can get my money back.

Digging Deep Into Culture and Spirituality

This month has been a rich time for receiving books that I not only ought to, but definitely want to read! This is to tell you about one I received today and have already done some reading in, Prometheus and Atlas, by Jason Reza Jorjani, a philosopher on the faculty of the New Jersey Institute of Technology who teaches on science, technology and society. It’s about that theme that is become so central in my life, building bridges between the best of science and the best of spirituality.

I don’t usually even attempt to read books by philosophers anymore. When I was young, I picked up a relatively accurate image of philosophers as very wise people who thought deeply about human life and the nature of reality, and who shared their reflections and understandings with us. I thought of them as driven by that old maxim attributed to Socrates, “The unexamined life is not worth living.”

For most of my adult life, however, I’ve found that most philosophers now seem to be caught up in word games.

In some ways, that’s OK and important. We are verbal creatures, and deeper understandings of the way we use words (and the way words use us!) can be very useful. One of the most important aspects of psychological and spiritual growth in my own life has been realizing that I’m too good with words, I can get entranced by them and lose touch with reality. But it’s apparently too easy for philosophers too to get caught up in the formal, intellectual, grammatical properties of language and forget that what we really should look at if we want deeper understanding is the reality that those words either point to and/or distort our understanding of.
Jorjani’s book is not casual reading, but it’s not a swamp of philosophical jargon and word games either. If you’re interested in the roots of both Eastern and Western cultures, and the conceptual systems driving so much of modern culture, including spiritual culture, it’s an excellent book. Particularly, Jorjani is aware of parapsychological phenomena, the specters as he calls them, which official culture tries to banish, but which are very important to our full understanding of humanity and reality. These “ghosts” just won’t go away in spite of our extensive use of “magic words,” masquerading as reason, to banish them!

I looked for his book when I received a notice that the Parapsychological Association, the professional group devoted to scientific and scholarly study of the paranormal, gave it an award for the best book in the area this year. I can see why they did. As I initially thought from a lunch conversation with him several years ago at one of the annual Parapsychogical Association meetings in Concord, Jorjani is very comprehensive in his understandings, so much so that I felt able to tease him about it after I started reading the book. I wrote him, “For example, are you certain that you haven’t missed some relevant footnote by some obscure Western or Eastern philosopher that is relevant to your theme? You seem to have gotten everybody and everything else!”

I started reading systematically from the first page, and quickly found I wanted more, I wanted to skip around sampling little gems here and there. For instance Jorjani talks about how we had such rigid ideas that there are real facts out there facts that we have to distinguish from our theories from, whether they are just theories given us by our enculturation or with the prestige of modern science, but, as he notes on page 14 of the introduction,

“Theories produce “facts” on account of observational ideologies that are deeply implicated by them, so it is deluded to think that the validity of theories can be tested against “the facts of Nature”-- as if these had an autonomous and objectively accessible existence.”

Part of me strongly objects to that statement, I want, I insist that there be facts, to check all our concepts on… But I do know an awful lot about how our psychological processes selectively construct the apparent “facts” we perceive…

As another example of Jorjani’s insights, I wrote him:

“As you know from our conversation back in Concord, I certainly am in great general agreement with you. We love to feel smart, and that’s even better if we get along well in the world because of our apparent smartness, so it so easy to become overly attached to one’s intellectual concepts. I don’t agree with all aspects of Buddhism, e.g., but I certainly admire the emphasis there on the dangers of attachment, although I would argue against the dangers of over-attachment, rather than any kind of attachment at all.

You may remember that I routinely carry two knives on my belt, one of the big models of the Swiss Army Knife, and a Leatherman tool. People sometimes ask me which one is better, and I asked them better for what? There’s no absolute better or worse, it depends on the task. And sometimes I find that I have to use both of them at once to adequately do a task. But I also get lots of demonstrations of attachment. I like both of them so much that I tend to automatically reach for them when there’s some mechanical problem, even though it should be immediately obvious that there’s some specialized tool that I will need, and I’d better go down and talk to the people in the hardware store…

I also have frequent demonstrations of how overly attached I am to the way I’ve been taught to perceive. When I’m looking for some misplaced object in the house and can’t find it (of course I have to ask my wife where it is and she marvels at my inability to find things, it’s so stereotyped!), I’ve reflected on this and realized I call up a visual image of the missing object in my mind, and I’m projecting that image around the room with the expectation that when it’s projected on the actual object I will feel a sensation of matching, “mental bell” will ring, and then I’ll actually look and see the object.

It’s not a bad technique in some ways, but a lot of times it doesn’t work because my visual image is slightly different from the orientation of the real object. Then I have to fight my habitual attachment and look in a more comprehensive and open-minded way.

One other example of where I’m sure we’re in agreement, years ago I came up with a systems approach way of theorizing about what was meant by a state of consciousness and altered states of consciousness (described in my States of Consciousness, not to be confused with my earlier Altered States of Consciousness book). I still use this conceptual approach in my thinking, although it didn’t generally get picked up, it’s too complex rather than having the simplicity people crave. But eventually I realized that the structure of my theoretical approach was essentially identical to Thomas Kuhn’s idea of paradigms. A particular paradigm/state can be very useful when dealing with stuff that is actually behaving the way the paradigm/state calls for, but is a real blinder when that’s not the case.

A highly recommended book! And also an incredibly unusual book, because almost all modern philosophers totally ignore the existence of paranormal phenomena, and insist on trying to explain everything in material terms. That leads to a lot of very forced and incorrect explanations…
