Lite and Heavy

The book does a poor job with definitions. A high level overview of each Personality Theorist is provided with random dives into miniscule details about some aspects while only brushing over other details.
Things that were important to me, I had to go elsewhere to find because the book simply mentioned it in as little as one sentence, while other seemingly trivial issues where scrutinized over the course of pages.

The review section of each chapter was modest at best. The few discussion questions often read like "which three items were NOT mentioned in this book" almost as if the book were meant to be a supplement and not the primary text.

There are a lot of interesting personal details about each Theorist at the beginning of each chapter. But the haphazard nature of the coverage of critical and trivial issues makes the book suspect at best in my opinion.

Good texts deliver information efficiently, are organized logically, and concise. Texts are great if they are also a pleasure to read. This text fails on all accounts. The author attempted to make it an interesting read by including personal information about each theorists and analogous examples but failed to consolidate or organize the information logically. It attempts to cover far more material than necessary and does a poor job of organizing or explaining that which it does cover. This book leaves much to be desired.

My class requires the next version of the text, but there's no difference besides the summary chapter. Save yourself $60 and get this.

Updated: I passed the class just fine with this book. No need for the newer edition. Save some $$$$$!

Covers wide range of topics plus advanced and new features

I find this book to be useful for creating intranet portals in enterprise environments. The book has lots of examples, tips, and notes that help the reader to understand portal development well. It does cover a wide range of topics and also new features in Liferay 6.2, so it is up to date. This book is perhaps more useful for administration aspects of Liferay since it covers advanced topics. Towards the end of the book, I found information on the upcoming Liferay 7 features to be useful and interesting.

As an immigrant to the United States who himself started to work as an dishwasher and ended up as an Senior Banking Associate at an insurance company I can identify with the characters in the book
and hardships and successes they suffered and enjoyed. I enjoyed the book very much.

Very well written. Holds your attention till the end. Be prepared to laugh and cry.
It is a true story of a woman that came to America to pursue her American dream.
She gives you a great picture of what it is like to be here alone and trying to make it.
Truly remarkable story.

Fascinating book...stunning information

Finally!! Some clarity is brought to the mystery of the return date for Nibiru. I loved this book as I have read many books on the return of Nibiru and this one is the most rational and thoughtful. Mr. Roest has done his research and gives the reader historical, astronomical and solid scientific evidence which reveals the returning cycles of Nibiru as it passes close to our planet earth. He pulls on many ancient texts, pictures and geological evidence for the dates of the cycles and the mystery of Nibiru is revealed. This is a book written for the lay person and I found it extremely interesting and informative. He is writing his next book now "The Unbelieving Bible" which should be out this year. I will be first in line for that one! Don't pass this one up....
